Spilling all the details on how I planned my dream wedding.

This month is not going to pass without me sharing the details of how I planned my wedding that took place last year. I am still reeling with excitement over how successful it was, and most importantly over the fact that I get to spend the rest of my life with a super amazing man.

Planning a wedding can be draining. This is especially true if you’re planning your wedding on a budget. This would mean that you must focus on the most essential things. For me, some of the most important things were my wedding dress, decoration, and photography. We had all these done well. Thanks to companies like Celestial Sights Photography, a Charlottesville wedding photography company, you can have beautiful photos and document your special day forever.

For anyone right in the middle of planning a wedding, whether it’s a luxury wedding or a wedding on a budget, here are a few tips to help you out.

Pay attention to your wedding IV

Unknown to most people, your wedding IV is one of the most important parts of the wedding planning process. It is the medium through which you would be announcing your wedding to the world. Sadly, most people tend to neglect this aspect. Interestingly, the quality of your wedding IV and any other prints you’re going to use on your wedding day matters a lot, so pay attention to all the details. Whether you want to keep it minimalist or go overboard, ensure that you use a brand that puts quality first. If you’re looking to  handle somw of the printing  work yourself, i personally and particularly love and recommend COS Sales. I must add that most of the wedding gifts we got came right after we started sending out our wedding IV.

Personalised Wedding dress

Getting the perfect wedding dress was something I struggled with for a bit, and that’s because I wanted a personalised wedding. I wanted everything tailored specifically to suit my taste, I had a clear picture of what I wanted, and most of the designs and styles out there didn’t particularly suit my taste, so I opted for a fresh design. I worked with a vendor that understood the assignment and they delivered as requested. In addition to getting a unique design, I also got my wedding dress on a budget. If you’re like me, you might want to consider getting a personalized wedding dress, it saves cost and makes you stand out.

  Start planning early

I can’t emphasize this enough! Once you and your partner have decided on a date, you should start talking to vendors ASAP. A lot of vendors get booked way ahead of time so you might want to make haste so that your favorite hairstylist or makeup artist doesn’t tell you she’s already booked on your wedding day. Some of the things you must have ready at least a month before the wedding are your outfits and footwear. This includes Brides outfits, Grooms outfits, that of your bridesmaids, and in-laws. Once everyone’s outfit is sorted, you’re halfway there.

Ask for help

Whether you believe it or not, you’re going to need as much help as you can get. Don’t be shy to ask. It’s your big day and your loved ones are usually more than excited to play their part, but you would never know if you don’t ask. I knew right from the start that I would be needing help, so I asked and I got overwhelming support.

Maximize the online space

I usually tell people how the Internet has changed my life! The online world is a huge part of my success story, my world revolves around it. From work to marriage, and everything in-between. When planning my wedding I also made use of the Internet in sourcing for vendors. A simple search online and tons of options would pop up. Simply check the reviews and choose anyone that suits your requirements. This is a lot easier than going from place to place on foot to find vendors. Maximize the online space when searching for wedding vendors, it saves time and money.
