Guess what? In a few weeks, Santa will be coming to town, and he’ll come bearing gifts for the best-behaved people!
Okay just kidding!!
Seriously though!! Christmas is just around the corner, but why can’t I hear the jingle bells? I guess it’s due to the sad events of the past few months.
Let’s face it, Christmas this year might not be all fun and games but regardless of what happens, we must endeavor to put our festive hats on and do all we can to enjoy the yuletide season with our loved ones.
So how do you plan on maintaining your relationship this season?
If there’s one lesson I learned this year, it would be that life is transient and we need to cherish every moment we get to spend with the special people in our lives.
Here are a few ideas!!
Visit old people’s homes
One of the ways to bring back the spark in your relationship is to spend quality time together. This can be done in different ways. Beyond hanging out at the movies or going to a restaurant another effective way to bond is to visit a health care service home like an orphanage or an old people’s home.
This simple humanitarian act has the power to ignite the spark in your own love life, I guess it’s because the universe tends to reward good people in some way. There are so many ways to show love but my favorite this year would be; a visit to a retirement home.
This year proved to be quite challenging for most elderly people, they were the worst hit with the pandemic, therefore sending them a little love and light would go a long way, this should be easy if you date in Strathclyde there are tons of retirement homes for friends and couples to visit. If on the other hand there are still restrictions in your area, you could send them love in form of gifts and messages.
We are not out of the woods yet with regards to the pandemic therefore it’s important to still maintain all the health care tips. Do well to keep all the safety tips and requirements, eat healthily, and keep fit. Christmas is for eating and drinking but you need to still eat healthily and keep fit because a relationship is more enjoyable when all the parties are healthy and strong.
Gift giving is an age-long Christmas tradition that has been in practice for centuries. We may not know the history of how this tradition came about but I have found this to be one of the most effective ways of maintaining a healthy, happy relationship.
There are few things more heartfelt than a nice gift. It doesn’t have to be expensive or rare it just needs to be thoughtful. When you gift the special people in your life, it passes a strong message that they are valued, loved, and cared for. Ear pods and healthcare protective gears are all great gift ideas for this season.
What other ideas do you have, kindly share in the comments.
