10 Encouraging Bible Verses For When You Feel Like Giving Up

When you feel like all hopes are crashing down and you want to give up, I recommend you go through these bible verses to encourage your faith.

  1.   Never Grow Weary While Doing Good

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up – Galatians 6:9 NIV.

This verse is a continuous reminder that you shouldn’t give up on the good things you are doing that, at due time, you will indeed receive the reward, and he is faithful to keep his promise.

  1.   Persevere No Matter What

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us – Hebrews 12:1

This verse helps us to know that there are people that have passed through what you are passing through and come out victorious. This should encourage you to persevere harder, knowing that you aren’t alone in this.

  1.   You Can Do All Things

I can do all this through him, who gives me strength.- Philippians 4:13

You can do all things, even hard, because God is your strength.

  1.   Perseverance Is Not Meant to Kill You But To Make You Perfect Unto Good Works

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope – Romans 5:3-4

This verse makes you understand that what you’re going through won’t break you, but through it, you will build character and hope that will set you up for God’s best.

  1.   You’re Not Alone In This Situation

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

You should not be frustrated knowing God will never leave or forsake you. You are never alone.

  1.   Be Eternally Focused

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal – 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

You should continually place your heart on eternity, knowing that the everlasting glory awaiting you is far greater than anything you pass through. Everything you are going through is temporary.

  1.   All Things Are Possible With God

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible – Matthew 19:26

This verse reminds you that there is nothing impossible for God to do. Never give up on God.

  1.   Keep on the Transformation Process

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything – James 1:2-4

Remember that the trials are meant to transform you into a better person. Just as Gold is refined like fire, you will become stronger and more blessed.  

  1.   The Lord Forever Upholds You

Though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand – Psalm 37:24

Know that the Lord is always there to sustain you. Though you fail today, you won’t remain a failure, for you have a God that lifts men and upholds them up high.

  1. The Patient Man Gets the Fattest Portion

But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patientlyRomans 8:25

This verse helps you to understand that patience is a fruit of the spirit; with it, you can access the fattest portion of God. Never rush out of the process. Be patient!

Conclusion

Never give up, for God is faithful to the end. He said in his word that he would be with you to the end of the ages. Although you may fail, you will rise, and remember that his plan is for God and to give you a pleasant ending.
