This is a great post for me as I am about to decorate a unit which I am about to rent out. Agree that I have to add in some nice decoration such as flowers and good lightings to make the house more cosy.

Ah, a nice checklist that works for everyone. Some people might say throw pillows are optional but they are a necessity. For non-believers, you have to experience having none for yourself, and your guests might also “fee;” the same.

These are all awesome ideas! I love the pillow idea, I knew a lady who used to change her house to fit the seasons, every fall/spring etc she would replace all the throws and pillows and have seasonal decorations – it always looked so beautiful and well done and like an entirely different room! You can never have enough pillows!

This list is perfect, as is that room! I’m happy that I was able to check most of your list off for my recent revamp of my kiddo’s bedroom and the family room – but one thing I forgot – Flowers! It’s so true, it brings life to a space! I know what I’ll be shopping for this weekend 🙂

For me, I would love to have a nice chair in my room to chill in. Place it near the windows where the sun shines in a little makes it such a nice decoration and useful items — chill and soak in some vitamin D!
