Monday motivation – Take the bus!

Monday motivation

*Take the bus*

Not every opportunity is a step forward for you.
That it looks good doesn’t mean it’s for you. Opportunities abound, but you need to be able to sift through each one that pops up, to know the one that is right for you.

A wise man once said “we often miss opportunities because it is dressed in overralls and looks like work”

How many times have you missed out on a brilliant opportunity just because it didn’t come in a fancy package.

When you Know the direction your life is taking, it becomes alot easier to make right decisions and choices. Know where your destination is so you may know what ride to jump on. There are many vehicles in a garage. You don’t get to the bustop and jump into the finest vehicle, find the one going to your destination.

If you are in California, and your destination is New Orleans, if at that time you get a free flight going to New York, taking that opportunity, will only make getting to New Orleans eventually more difficult.

though the flight to New York  might be fun while it lasts, you will still have the need to get to New Orleans, but now you may have taken on a new and unwarranted distraction just because it was available and sounded like fun. Even roses have thorns, so take that rickety bus heading to New Orleans and don’t get distracted by the freebie. Sometimes the road to freedom is long and hard, but in the end it would be totally worth it.

Stop looking for the best paying job around. Find one that’s gives you the greatest fulfilment.
Stop looking for the hottest lady in town . Find one that compliments you and your purpose.
Not the slickest guy, or the one with the best capital tongues in Church, find a personality that you can find expression through.

Stop making decisions from a place of convenience! The best things in life sometimes come in small and unattractive packages.

Never choose a vehicle for its looks , choose it for its direction.

Join us every Monday for some motivation to get your week started the right way.

I love that analogy that opportunities come dressed in overalls and look like work. It really does but when you do the work you get the results!

This is a word! I agree with most of these except when it comes to convenience. When I travel for example, lodging that is convenient in its location to what I may be doing plays a part in my decision making.

“Stop looking for the best paying job around. Find one that’s gives you the greatest fulfilment.” this is so on point. Because the decent paying jobs I had did not fulfill me. I always look for that over a higher paying job.
